ChoiceTel Celebrates Freedom in Honor of Juneteenth 2022
DID YOU KNOW? Juneteenth originated in Texas in 1866, when freedmen of Texas organized the first celebration of true freedom from slavery following the end of the civil war. Texas went on to make Juneteenth an official holiday in 1979. In June of 2021, Juneteenth became a Federal Holiday in the U.S.
